We have the experience to provide safe and quality work on new installations, design/build, and commissioning of high voltage substations including steel erection and bus welding, upgrades, transformer relocation, energizing and testing.

This includes the above grade electrical construction and also the below grade civil portion including grading, paving and fencing.

Right-of-Way Preparation

Tree and vegetation removal work needs to comply with necessary approvals and permits, and vegetation clearing at right-of-way sites must be monitored by experienced environmental professionals. Site-specific field reviews identify potential wildlife impacts and tree management plans include selective tree removal, assessing trees for risk to public, property, infrastructure, construction equipment and personnel.

Substation Automation and Commissioning

Orbital Power Inc. is fully aware that the commissioning process on new substation automation systems (SASs) is a critical stage for determining that a system is installed correctly and that it will remain in service for its anticipated lifecycle. Orbital Power Inc. ensures that hardware descriptions, software identifications, test instruments, required documentation, engineering tools, planned commissioning tests, non-structured commissioning tests, and re‐commissioning are considered and taken into account.
